About TIE Academy
Think Boldly. Act Ethically. Lead Globally.
TIE Academy is an education company for families navigating a rapidly changing, AI-disrupted world. Our work spans a platform, live programs, and a body of thinking about what thoughtful childhood looks like in this century.
Our founder
Sam Ahn founded TIE Academy after fifteen years inside education systems he watched grow slower than the world around them. He teaches, writes, and runs the company's institutional brand. The platform is an attempt to put what he learned into the hands of parents — at the moment, and in the form, they can actually use it.
He is also the author of 「공부만 잘하는 아이는 AI로 대체됩니다」 — Korean for "Children Who Only Excel Academically Will Be Replaced by AI" — published in Korea and translated for publication in Taiwan.
A child who only excels academically is the most replaceable profile in an AI-shaped world. The skills that don't get replaced — perseverance, creativity, communication, collaboration, ethical judgment — are the ones a family can deliberately raise, week after week, with the right tools and the right questions.
Our six shared pedagogical values
Real-world, real-time
The world is the textbook.
Interdisciplinary by design
Every program deliberately crosses subject boundaries.
Action-oriented
Every lesson ends in a specific Take Action step.
Audience-adaptive
Developmental stage, language, and culture are built into every design decision.
AI-era relevant
The skills we develop are the ones AI cannot replicate.
Family-centered
Parents are active participants, not passive observers.
